Barely twenty – four hours after The President lifted the lockdown, sex workers in the Accra metropolis have gone back their usual business in effect to service their various sex starved clientele.
Some major parts of Accra,well known as hub for these sex workers have been taken over by these “ladies of the night”, as they seek to capitalize and most of the situation created by the lockdown.
The partial lockdown enforced in some regions of Ghana, prevented the none essential service providers from operating.
With this measure going against the sex workers , they couldn’t freely render their services to their ever-growing clientele without tasting the wrath of the security services.
It is worth to know that technology has made sex work (Prostitution) easy as they don’t only need to stand by the road to look for clients but with the help of a smart phone and social media a sex worker is just a finger touch away.
It is worth to know that, sex work is illegal under Ghana’s constitution , with prison sentence being the punishment if one is arrested whiles soliciting for their services.
