The Kano State Police Command have saved a 32-years-old man, Ahmad Aliyu who was purportedly locked up by his dad and stepmother for 7 years in Farawa Babban Layi, Mariri Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.
As indicated by report, Aliyu went through days without food and water and drank his pee. He was purportedly locked up by his parents on the suspicion that he had begun smoking and engaging in drug consumption.
Aliyu was protected after a concerned neighbor alarmed the police in Farawa and Human Rights Network, who came to rescue him.
At the point when the police and the human rights group showed up, the stepmother demanded that Ahmad was not at home, which forced the team to break down places in the house in search of him.
The police from there on arrested the man and his wife and took away their victim
