The Ghana Premier League (GPL) and its various stakeholders have received a huge blow as President Akufo-Addo has extended the ban on sporting activities to July 31 in his Sunday night address.
This development means that’s the ongoing football season of The Ghanaian Premiership is still on ice.
It has be over two months since the league was haulted due to the sudden emergence of the novel corona virus in the country and with European countries putting measures in place to resume their league . Many Ghanaian football lovers were hoping for the Ghana Premiership to follow suit but seems they will have to wait for the time being before watching their favorite local players take to the field once again .
There have been a few calls be various stakeholders for the Ghana Football Association to cancel the current league season but President of Ghana’s FA Kurt Okraku believes different.
