Covid-19: 37 Military Hospital Sets Up A Mobile Clinic Facility At El Wak Sports Stadium To Help Fight Corona Virus .

The 37 Military Hospital in an effort to help fight the deadly Covid-19 pandemic ,is setting up  a mobile clinic facility at El Wak Sports Stadium In the Greater Accra region of Ghana.

The mobile clinic facility being  put up by the 37 Military Hospital is one of two facilities being funded by the United States (US) government, has been set up to be used as a coronavirus treatment centre,the mobile clinic facility believed to be estimated at  cost sum of $6.5 million.

The easy-to-deploy hospital is equipped with an Out Patient Department, laboratories, a radiological department, a theatre, an intensive care unit, a morgue and other facilities found in a traditional hospital.

Administrative Officer at the 37 Military Hospital, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Minta told JoyNews that the operation of the facility was necessary in the fight against the coronavirus. The 37 Military Hospital is one of the main treatment centres for Covid-19 patients in the Greater Accra region .

Current Update Of The Covid-19 Pandemic In Ghana As Stated By the Ghana Health Service.

As of 14th April 2020, at 23:00HRS, a total of 50,719 persons have been tested with 641 being positive for COVID-19. The breakdown of the 641 positive cases are as follows: seventeen (17) have been treated, reverted to negative on repeat tests and discharged. Furthermore, 66 have tested negative once and awaiting second test. This brings together a total of 83 cases that have been recovered / discharged. 548 cases have been categorised as mild disease and are on treatment, two (2) are categorized as moderate to severe cases, none in critical state currently and eight (8) have died.
